Cannabis menus assume you already speak the language: strain names that sound like desserts, percentages with no context, prices that jump between tiers for no visible reason. Five minutes here and you’ll read any menu — ours included — like you’ve been doing this for years.
Strain names: the family-tree game
Most strain names encode lineage. “Wedding Crasher” is Wedding Cake × Purple Punch; anything ending in “OG” claims Kush ancestry; “Pink” anything in Ontario descends from Pink Kush. Names with a grower’s brand attached (Space Bros, etc.) mean a specific cut from a specific producer. None of this is regulated — the name is a claim, which is why our product pages list lineage in the details table where we know it, and why the batch photo matters more than the christening.
Categories and what they filter
Indica, sativa, hybrid tabs sort by lineage and expected structure/aroma profile — a first filter, not a verdict. (We wrote a whole plain-English guide to the labels.) Grade plates — AAA to AAAA — describe flower quality tiers: structure, trim, frost, aroma, cure.
THC %: the most misread number in cannabis
Two things about the percentage on any menu. First, it measures one compound’s concentration by weight — it says nothing about aroma, flavour, cure quality or how well-grown the flower is, which is most of what you’re paying for. Second, batch variation is real: the same strain tests differently harvest to harvest. Treat the number as one data point alongside the photo, the grade and the nose notes — not as a score to maximize. A beautifully cured AAA at a modest percentage is routinely a better jar than a harsh, over-dried “high tester.”
Weight math: oz, halves, quarters
The menu speaks in ounces and grams both, so here’s the conversion table burned into every regular’s memory: 1 oz = 28g · half = 14g · quarter = 7g · eighth = 3.5g. Price tiers: why one ounce is $100 and another is $160
Three honest reasons: grade (the criteria in our grading guide cost money at every step), scarcity (limited cuts and single-grower drops price above workhorse strains), and format economics (2oz deals trade margin for volume — that’s the whole deal board). A menu with one flat price for everything is telling you it doesn’t grade.

- Gold plate — grade or feature tag (AAAA, Vegan, 2oz Deal).
- Batch stamp — when this exact product was photographed in-house.
- Name + lede — the strain and a one-line aroma/texture note.
- Weight pills — price per size with per-gram math.
- Product page details — lineage, trim, cure, nose, finish, structure.
